Re: How is 2460edo *actually* notated?

FloraC The Extreme precision level of Sagittal's standard JI notation is modeled after 2460-EDO, which uses the full Olympian symbol set, so the notation for 2460-EDO is just every Olympian symbol in order. Dave has corrected the above crossed-out statements in the next post. Sorry for any confusio...

Re: What's the definition of ♯/♭?

Ah, I see! Yes, depending on the EDO, :#: and :b: may also represent 25/24. But the primary comma is 2187/2048. Meaning, in the absence of other information, that's what one should assume it represents. Let me know if that raises any other questions.

Re: What's the definition of ♯/♭?

Hi Dannyu NDos ! Welcome to the Sagittal forum. I hope you can get all the info you need, and have some fun and interesting conversations here. In Sagittal, :#: and :b: are the Pythagorean semitone, 2187/2048. You can find this information, and a lot more, here: https://sagittal.org/Sagittal-SMuFL-M...

Re: How to install the Bravura font

And here's the zipped Mac installer equivalent of the previous post.

FYI: I needed to revise the instructions in the OP due to a new error I experienced this time.

Re: "Sagispeak"

I assume you're suggesting we should allow the four different spellings "php", "pph", "fp" or "pf", as well as the three pronunciations /fəp/, /pəf/ and /pf/? Yes, I was suggesting that. So far we've allowed alternative pronunciations to reduce the number of ...

Re: Prime-factor Sagittal JI notation (one symbol per prime)

Okay, I've updated my personal records with the change to the symbol for 47. Thanks for catching that volleo6144 . I haven't worked Prime Factor notation into Sagittal code yet, and none of my educational materials regarding Prime Factor notation, even in WIP state, plan to go any higher than 37, so...

Re: "Sagispeak"

Okay, my thoughts. Sorry for the delay. In the case of triple-p, I think it should be acceptable to collapse either the first two p's or the second two p's, i.e. I think either php or pph (fp or pf) should be allowed. It seems so far on this thread we've only looked at the first of these two options...

Re: Simplified "Stoic" Sagittal for 13-limit tonality diamond use

Wow, the Stoics have really come into their own! Cool to see that y'all have already settled on code points, Sagispeak, and Sagitype for them. And already updated the Smilies and Wincompose sequences. Eventually I'm going to need to work them into the Sagittal code base I've been working on (eventua...

Re: "Sagispeak"

I'm hoping @cmloegmcluin can come up with IPA spellings for whatever we settle on — maybe with some alternatives for speakers for whom "ng" is a foreign phoneme, if we go with "ng". I expect "php" would be "fəp". I've been following the recent surge in activi...

Re: Using Dorico with Sagittal?

Jacob! Good to see you here. I'm using MuseScore myself and haven't played with Dorico much since the previous UnTwelve workshop at Gesundheit. So if you're asking "Am I doing this right" w/r/t Dorico, I'm sorry, I can't say. But I can at least confirm you've got the right notation and Sag...
