Re: consistent Sagittal 37-Limit
I suspect the 499S there is a typo because 499 is a relatively huge prime. The 499S is a pretty simple ratio (499:512), and it is in the range of 91 minas (at 91.28 in 2460-EDO and 91.25 in 233-EDA), so if it is a typo, someone must have just went along with it. And this was in or before 2007, beca...

Naming commas and other intervals: a compilation of various sources
This ... made me think of writing this all out: I agree with your argument. But there's no need to check. That property was guaranteed by generating candidates with steadily increasing 3-exponents, starting from zero and working in both positive and negative directions. Here's the Comma Namer spread...

Shafts, 11M complements, and apotome complements
My choice for a 1/4-apotome symbol is the 7-comma symbol :|): because the exact relationship :|): + :||): = :/||\: is highly suggestive of :|): + :|): = :/|\: although this is only approximate in standard Sagittal. While this is from 2015, it still made me feel like cataloguing all of the schismina...

Re: consistent Sagittal 37-Limit
For those who want to reverse engineer this complexity measure, to explain it to the rest of us, I note that George has left the formulas only in the first row. But already I can tell you that it is dominated by the sum of prime factors greater than 3 (SoPF>3). The weighted complexity is G+J+K+L, w...

Re: 140th mina
I find that George's JI notation spreadsheet does not produce an error when asked to notate 25/77. It simply doesn't offer any notation with a 68.1 ¢ (no-mans-land) alteration. It only offers two possible spellings instead of the usual three. What would the third spelling be? Looking in the calcula...
