Re: How is 2460edo *actually* notated?

:~|(: 14 steps :/|: 14 steps :|): :(|: 14 steps :(|(: and worst of all :/|\: 17 steps :(|): :/|: to :|): is 12 steps just as :h: to :|(:, right? Same as :(|: to :(|(: . :~|(: to :/|: is 14 steps. :/|\: to :(|): is 15 steps. For any 14- or 15-step gap I might go for :,::'::': , but I do hope to save...

Re: How is 2460edo *actually* notated?

Uh, first, there's no left diacritics vs right diacritics? Then https://sagittal.org/SagittalJI.gif is seriously out of date. Second, why is promethean involved at all? I figured it's possible to do this 1\ :`::|: 2\ :``::|: 3\ :,::'::|: 4\ :'::|: 5\ :`::'::|: 6\ :``::'::|: 7\ :,::.::|(: 8\ :.::|(: ...

How is 2460edo *actually* notated?

Is there actual material showing it, such as what basic symbols are used and how the diacritics are applied.

Re: What's the definition of ♯/♭?

In 19edo and 31edo both 25/24 and 2187/2048 are represented by 1\19 and 2\31 respectively because 81/80 is tempered out. Mind you, the 2187/2048 is understood as a stack of seven of 3/2's instead of using the direct approximation.

Re: 270edo in athenian+trojan only

I viewed trojan extension as a library to auxilliarate 224edo so as to extend it to something a little bit larger but still athenian-like, such as 270 or 311. Maybe it's promethean that works in that role?

Re: 270edo in athenian+trojan only

I note that the Stein semisharp :>: is available as a forum smiley :>: and the narrow semiflat :<: is :<: . When editing a post, if you click on "View more smilies" you'll see them near the end of the list. The smiley code :+: gives the Wilson plus symbol :+: which is an alternative to :/...

Re: 270edo in athenian+trojan only

I still find the system a little bit glitchy because when I try extending it to 494edo: 2\: :|(: 4\: :)|(: 6\: :|~: 7\: :~|(: 9\: :/|: 11\: :|): 13\: :|\: 14\: :(|: 16\: :(|(: 18\: :/ /|: 20\: :/|): 22\: :/|\: it doesn't work well with :|~: changing to 6\ and :~|(: changing to 7\. For 494edo, since ...

270edo in athenian+trojan only

I talked about the significance of 224edo and 270edo on this forum. Later I named "the five essential comma-size 13-limit edos" (41, 46, 53, 58 and 72), and "the four essential athena-size 13-limit edos" (183, 224, 270, and 311). There are other candidates including 198, 212 and ...

Re: Is there an edo that takes every Spartan accidental and nothing else?

because at that time :|\: was in the Spartan set.
Oh, no wonder! I also noticed 130edo was the closest match.

Will you "renovate" the XH article or publish something new in future?

Re: Is there an edo that takes every Spartan accidental and nothing else?

I wasn't suggesting it, but now you asked, there's potential advantage. Notation software developers tend to implement smufl by entire blocks. For example, what happened just now was that MuseScore team implemented the Spartan set, and only the Spartan set. So musicians will be practically rewarded ...
