13 EDO
How do you notate 13 EDO? It's weird because father is an 8 note scale while glacial being a 7 note scale is not built from a chain of fifths.

Re: 13 EDO
In the Xenharmonikon article we recommend notating it as every 3rd note of 39-edo. But Cryptic Ruse has just made a reasonable case for notating it as every second note of 26-edo.
26-edo: (A:B, C:D, D:E, F:G, G:A = 4) (B:C, E:F = 3) (# = 1) :26-edo A A A A A A B B B B B C C C C C D D D D D E E E E E F F F F F G G G G G [Use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of this post, to see the rest of 26-edo. -->] 13-edo: (A:B, C:D, D:E, F:G, G:A = 2) (B:C, E:F = 1.5) (# = 0.5) A A B B C C C D D D E E E F F G G Alternatively 13-edo: (A:B, C:D, D:E, F:G, G:A = 2) (B:C, E:F = 1.5) (# = 0.5) A A A B B B C C D D E E F F F G G G

Ah ok that makes sense just like 11 is every other note of 22.Dave Keenan wrote:In the Xenharmonikon article we recommend notating it as every 3rd note of 39-edo. But Cryptic Ruse has just made a reasonable case for notating it as every second note of 26-edo.

Every other note of 26-EDO is also the notation Easley Blackwood used in his Twelve Microtonal Etudes.
