Re: 5n edos
How about enharmonics so that scales like porcupine don't look terrible? I propose that F = G and B = C so that porcupine comes out looking sensible and tertian harmony doesn't look random and scattered. Porcupine thus is notated as C D:\!: E:\!: F:b::/|: G A:\!: Bb:/|: C such that F and G are equat...

Re: 5n edos
Ok, I'm trying to get this to all work in MUS2 with Bravura font but I cannot seem to find Shai and Shao. Am I supposed to combine something? I'm using the mixed sagittal btw, is it like a Gao Flat or something?

Re: 5n edos
Thanks so much, that makes sense now. I kind of am getting a bit into the whole descriptor thing of sagittal so that we can see what happens across tunings. I quite like the 5 nominal system and I feel like a 10 nominal may be just too complicated for no gain as A. the letters do not blend with the ...

Re: 5n edos
Ok I'm convinced. How should 15 EDO and other 5n edos be notated in sagittal?

5n edos
My idea is to notate 5n edos by mapping 10 edo to the staff as chains of fifths. Thus 5 edo is either lines or spaces. 15 edo would require accidentals for two out of three chains. 20 edo would just be a sort of quarter tone accidentals, sagittal of course.

Easy Sagittal Ascii Guide
So this is how the ascii characters seem to be laid out. first | or ! determine the direction of the stem. | is up ! is down. once we know that, the symbols are written before or after the stem direction relative to how it appears in the actual glyph. For example is we have :(|): then obviously it w...

Re: 22edo interval names
But I imagine as well that somebody who knew both 24 and 22 in sagittal could tell that pai4 and vao4 can both be interpreted 11/8 but written differently, right? I mean, I don't really mind writing everything in closest matching JI but I'm wondering how odd this makes something to read. OR does JI ...

Handwritten sagittal
Alot of people have complained that sagittal is hard to write but I'm developing a method to easily write any symbol as well as developing a sagittal calligraphy method, but thats less important hehe. Here I just sketched out how I think I would write the glyphs. http://s13.postimg.cc/44ebkgqlj/imag...

Re: Limma fraction and apotome fraction accidentals
Note yet cryptic, trying to get there, once we get to a good point we can create an entire glossary on the xenwiki to notate every single tuning that we use in sagittal, how it all works, and how to type it in ascii. This is my goal here, I want to create such a guide once I gather enough information.
