Re: Noble frequency ratios as prime-count vectors in ℚ(√5)

Well, this is certainly something to come back to. I unfortunately don't think I have the attention span to read all of that at once.

One thing did stand out to me, though...

I take it that was meant to be 73?

Did... something happen?

For the last few days, I had noticed that the site was giving me an SSL error somewhat like the one I remember ignoring in front of cmloegmcluin ; however, instead of the cert just being out of date, it was for a completely different website I had never heard of, and clicking the ignore button actua...

I never actually understood what caused that to have to happen?

Re: George's grid

Done. It's... interesting, as he variously used text color, bold text, both, and a background color.

Some notes are also notated with, uh, unconventional choices like |)) for :(/|: (...understandable), :.:~)| as an alternative to :)|(: (???), and :.::|~: as an alternative to :~|(:.

Re: George's grid

The highlighted cells don't just signify single primes; many of them represent one prime against another or something similar. One of them, assuming it's meant to be the primary comma for its symbol, is actually slightly farther away from its position in the grid than the n/s boundary (!), and the r...

Re: Prime-factor Sagittal JI notation (one symbol per prime)

I think you have the wrong symbol [representing 83S] for 83. I think it should be DropMinas(:``::\!):) = :\!): because whatever comma that is , has a smaller 3-exponent. Oh, right, the 83M, 249:256. I can't believe I forgot that; after all, it was the old default comma for one of the minas that cam...

Re: "Sagispeak"

PHOIBLE claims that /ŋ/ is the 14th most common sound cross-linguistically (in 63% of all languages), behind /m i k j u a p w n t l s b/. Of note is that Sagispeak uses /w/ as an alternative to a consonant pair (one that includes /t/ at that) and /j/ as an... alternative to some very uncommon sound...

Re: Prime-factor Sagittal JI notation (one symbol per prime)

While checking the accuracy of my other post again, I noticed something... interesting: since the 75th mina isn't split anymore, 47:48 is now represented by :'::(!(: and not :~!):, and the value the dropped accent represents is changed from 7 2 ·47n = 2303:2304 to 11:47n = 24057:24064. On to the... ...

Re: Prime-factor Sagittal JI notation (one symbol per prime)

I think your solution (using a tina accent) is the right one. Come to think of it, have we even finalized how tina accents work if they're not against a bare shaft? Is :|\: the 226th tina because the 55C is 226.056 (809) or 226.046 (8539) tinas, or because 65 minas is 225.687 (809/233) or 225.624 (...

Re: Prime-factor Sagittal JI notation (one symbol per prime)

So with the thread on removing the 47S from the Extreme precision level (and replacing it with 11:23S), we found that the 53C might be less far out than we'd hoped, and I also noticed that some of the commas we considered had N2D3P9 above 73 2 /18; my latest post there (which probably came off as mo...
